As long as your parents dont… also, you would need to file as a dependent… it should be a question on turbotax or h&rblock.com… You could also call a tax preperation place and ask to make sure.

I looked at a lot of questions on here and went to irs.gov. Plenty of places stated the 5 dependency rules
you have to have lived with your boyfriend for the WHOLE year. You also have to have made under $ 3400. He had to provide at least half of your financial support. Also, you two living together can’t violate local laws (sounds weird but apparently certain areas still have really old laws that aren’t enforced prohibiting unmarried couples from living together. If they’re still ‘in the books’ you can’t be claimed). So if no one else claims you, he can!
